SS-31 10mg
- Lyophilised powder in a sealed vial
- Identity and purity documented on lab-tested batches
- Reconstitution guide and calculator included
Refrigerate on arrival. This compound is shipped as dry lyophilised powder, which tolerates transport at ambient temperature for a few days. Once it arrives, store the sealed vial at 2 to 8 °C, or at -20 °C for long-term storage, and keep it away from light. After reconstitution, keep the solution refrigerated and avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Storage guide
Documented, not promised. Lab-tested products carry a COA with batch number. Every guide on this site links to the original studies.
Description
SS-31 10 mg, also known as Elamipretide, is a four amino acid peptide that binds to cardiolipin in the inner mitochondrial membrane. It is studied for its effect on the structure of the membrane folds and the efficiency of the respiratory chain. SS-31 has been tested in clinical trials for rare mitochondrial diseases but is not an approved medicine. Supplied as lyophilised powder in a sealed vial.
- Class: Szeto-Schiller peptide, 4 amino acids
- Amount: 10 mg per vial, lyophilised
- Research areas: mitochondrial function, oxidative stress, cardiac and renal models

Research use only
This product is a research compound supplied as lyophilised powder for laboratory use. It is not an approved medicine and is not intended for human or veterinary use. We do not provide dosing or medical advice.
Storage and handling
Store the sealed vial cold and dry, ideally at -20 °C for long-term storage or at 2 to 8 °C for shorter periods. Protect from light. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, swirl gently and keep the solution refrigerated. See the reconstitution guide and the peptide calculator.
Certificate of analysis
Products in our lab-tested category carry a certificate of analysis with identity by mass spectrometry, purity by HPLC and the batch number. Our Lab Handbook explains how to read a peptide COA.
Shipping
Peptides are shipped as dry lyophilised powder, which is the most stable form for transport. Prices in EUR. Shipping details and delivery times are shown at checkout.

From vial to sample.
Three steps between the sealed vial and a measured sample. The Lab Handbook has the details.
Store sealed
Keep the vial at -20 °C for long-term storage or at 2 to 8 °C for shorter periods, protected from light and moisture.
Reconstitute
Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the vial wall and swirl gently. Never shake. Full guide.

What we document.
Lab-tested products carry a certificate of analysis. This product is not yet in that range; documentation is extended as further batches are tested.
Mass spectrometry confirms that the measured mass matches the expected sequence.
HPLC measures the share of the target peptide against impurities such as deletion sequences.
Each tested batch has a number, a test date and the laboratory that ran the analysis.

Questions? Answers.
What does "for research use only" mean?
This is a research compound for laboratory use. It is not an approved medicine and is not intended for human or veterinary use. We do not provide dosing or medical advice.
Which solvent should I use?
Bacteriostatic water for nearly every compound in our range. It contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which keeps a multi-use vial free of bacteria. The reconstitution guide explains the steps.
How long is the reconstituted solution stable?
In bacteriostatic water and in the refrigerator, many peptides are commonly used within about four weeks. Some compounds are more sensitive. See the storage guide in the Lab Handbook.
Is a certificate of analysis available?
Not yet for this product. COA documentation is extended as further batches are tested; the lab-tested category lists all products with a COA.
How is the product shipped?
As dry lyophilised powder in a sealed vial, which is the most stable form for transport. Shipping options and delivery times are shown at checkout.
