Muscle and performance peptides are research compounds that are studied in muscle physiology, from the growth hormone axis to muscle repair and exercise metabolism. This category combines the relevant compounds from several of our research areas as lyophilised powder for laboratory research.

Muscle and performance peptides in this category

  • IGF-1 LR3 1 mg: a long-acting form of insulin-like growth factor 1, the hormone through which growth hormone acts on muscle tissue. The reference compound for muscle cell studies.
  • CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin blend: two peptides that stimulate growth hormone release through different receptors.
  • Tesamorelin 10 mg: a GHRH analogue with a documented clinical history.
  • BPC-157 / TB-500 blend 10/10 mg: the two most studied repair peptides for muscle and tendon injury models.
  • MOTS-c 20 mg: a mitochondrial peptide that is studied in exercise physiology and in muscle metabolism.

How to choose a peptide for muscle research

The compounds act at different levels. IGF-1 LR3 acts directly on the IGF-1 receptor of the muscle cell. The CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin blend and Tesamorelin act one level higher, on the pituitary gland; our guide CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin explains the mechanism. The BPC-157 / TB-500 blend is the choice for injury and repair models. MOTS-c is the compound for research on energy metabolism during exercise.

Handling of muscle and performance peptides

All compounds are supplied as lyophilised powder in sealed vials and dissolved before use with bacteriostatic water. IGF-1 LR3 comes in a 1 mg vial because it is active at very low amounts, which makes a correct concentration calculation important; see how to reconstitute peptides.

Regulatory status of muscle and performance peptides

Every compound in this category is on the WADA Prohibited List, under section S0 or S2, and is banned in sport at all times. None of them is an approved medicine for muscle growth or performance. All products are sold for laboratory research use only and are not intended for human or veterinary use.
